Morning devotion: Read Psalm 55

Psalms 55:16  ¶As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me. 17  Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. 18  He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me. 19  God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God. 20  He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant. 21  The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords. 22  Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. 23  But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.

There is nothing wrong with a fervent consistent prayer life with the Lord. Prayer seems to be one the least things people do when it should be one of the most important things to do.

Call upon the Lord, He will hear. Call upon the Lord He will save you. Yes, call upon the Lord in the morning, afternoon and evening He will be attentive. Call upon the Lord, cast you care upon the Lord He will sustain and strengthen and help you in time of need.

1 Peter 5:6  Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7  Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Ps 27:14  Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Ps 37:5  Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Php 4:6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

While David struggled with those who would supplant him, he knew the Lord would deliver him, and in that he had great peace.

Where do you go when your world unravels and your circumstances of life change? The born-again believer has a wonderful person to which he can go. For he knows, God will hear and God will never forsake him.

The choice is still yours,
