Morning devotion: Read Psalm 86

Psalms 86:8  ¶Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works. 9  All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name. 10  For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.

Who do you worship? David makes reference to “gods”; notice, the word starts with a little “g.” He knew there was only one God.

Genesis 1:1  In the beginning God…

Isaiah 44:6  Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

Isaiah 45:5  I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me:

Hosea 13:4  Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.

So, when the reference to “god” is made, it is not talking about the God of heaven and earth, for, there is only one. It is talking about the god of this world, Satan.

There are many gods created by Satan, but there is only one true God. In the Old Testament there was molech, and baal, chemosh, dagon, etc. many of these so-called gods revolved around sex and the convenience of it. People would sacrifice their children to molech much like many do with abortion today.

There were gods developed at the tower of Babble. Many religions today have those same gods.  Jeremiah 7:18  The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.

What religion today offers prayers and oblations to the queen of heaven even praying to her so she might intercede for them?

Man worships himself as a god. Romans 1:25  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. Read all of Romans chapter one.

Today we hear about rahm and its one million manifestations in eastern religion. We have the god of humanism, and the god of sports and pleasure. People even worship the “force” and the ying and the yang. People worship evolution and money and power and fame rather than the one true God.

What god do you worship? David worshiped the one and true God.

One day it will all be made clear and God, the one and true God, will have rule and reign. Romans 14:11  For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

What god do you worship?

The choice is still yours,
