Morning devotion: Read Psalm 119

Psalms 119:160  ¶Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

Psalms 119:152  ¶Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.

Psalms 119:144  The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

I once had a person tell me that God’s word was wrong and untrue. They told me they did not believe God’s word and that God had not given us all of His word. Therefore, His word is not true. Their premise was the fact that God did not give them their opinion in His word. Consequently, God was wrong and they were right. Do you see the fallacy here? They were setting themselves up as the ultimate authority and God was second to them.

Romans 1:21  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23  And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24  Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

Whether we agree or not, God’s word is true from the beginning and will remain true forever.

Never get the idea that you can manipulate God’s word and make it say what you want. It does not change. While man may twist or wrest the words of God and write new versions, what God has said does not change.

Exodus 23:2  Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:

2 Peter 3:16  As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

People have a tendency to spin or twist or wrest the scriptures to say what they want. Kind of like politicians do when they use partial words of their opponents for their own purposes; like the news does to manipulate your mindset toward their agenda.

Jesus said, John 8:32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Just because a person does not believe or because he twists the word of God does not nullify or make God’s word untrue.

Romans 3:3  For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

No, my friend God’s word is true, it will stand forever. No matter what man does here on this sod, when they enter the realms of the eternal, they will find what God said has not changed. His judgements forever endure.

Psalms 119:160  ¶Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

It does not matter what your priest, or father, or clergy or some translator said; what matters is what thus saith the Lord.

The righteous, in Christ, will be blessed forever. The cursed and unsaved will be cursed forever.

Revelation 22:11  He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. 12  And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14  Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15  For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

The choice is still yours,
