Morning Devotion: Read Psalm 122
Psalms 122:1 ¶<<A Song of degrees of David.>> I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. 2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem. 3 Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together: 4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD. 5 For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
There is a gladness in the prospect of going to the house of the Lord. There is a gladness in church, in the true church, the place where the lord is preached and peoples lives are changed and fellowship is enjoyed. People need the Lord and People need the fellowship of each other in the Lord.
In this day and age when churches are being shut down because of certain political ideologies, we need to understand that it is the church were lives are changed for the good. The church is that which stands in the community as a bastion of hope.
The church that preaches and teaches salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the church where the unction and moving of the Spirit of God is.
By that preaching and by that teaching and by that moving of God in the heart, people come to the realization of truth, truth that they are sinners and they need to be saved. That is the rub against the left; in realizing the truth of one’s sin they are brought to a place of reconciliation or retaliation. Some will believe and some will not. Some will be reconciled to the Lord in Christ Jesus and the rest will retaliate.
“I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.” The narrative of the left to instill the fear that covid is spread through the churches is a ploy to close the churches and take away your hope. With no hope remaining they then set themselves up as your God. Be very careful my friend, ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make your free. Truth always brings honour.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Psalms 26:8 LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.
Where truth is removed only lies remain.
The choice is still yours,
