Morning Devotion: Read Jude

Jude 1:1  ¶Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: 2  Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.

Every Christian is sanctified, set apart for God because they are God’s. They are God’s because they are in Christ Jesus. I really hope everyone could see this.

John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Remember what John said to the elect lady?

2 John 1:1  The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth; 2  For the truth’s sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.

That truth is Jesus the Son of God.

1 John 2:23  Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

If you deny Jesus, you do not have the Father. Without Jesus you have no salvation and no eternal life.

John goes even further and says we are preserved in Jesus Christ. Not only are we sanctified by God we are preserved in that sanctification in Jesus.

Hebrews 10:10  By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Hebrews 10:14  For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Paul writes that we are sanctified in Christ through the Spirit of God.

2 Thessalonians 2:13  But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

Jesus prayed to God the Father, in John 17:17  “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”

Not only are we sanctified in the Lord, we are preserved, kept for ever by the Lord. We that are saved, are saved forever. Never, never, never can we lose our salvation because God gave it to us by Jesus Christ.

Jesus said in John 6:39  “And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.”

Jesus also said in John 10:28  “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29  My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. 30  I and my Father are one.”

Jesus prayed in John 17:11 “And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.”

You see, we are preserved by the Lord Jesus forever. We are preserved in Jesus Christ because Christ lives forever. He is alive forevermore. He intercedes on our behalf.

Hebrews 7:25  Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

If we are preserved for ever, we must also realize that judgment and hell are for ever as well. Jesus ever lives to keep us; he ever lives in judgment as well.

Romans 8:34  Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

So, you see my friend, Jesus is the preserver of all; He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He preserves both the saved and the unsaved in judgment.

Hebrews 10:31  It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Revelation 22:13  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14  Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15  For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. 16  I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. 17  And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Would you come to Him and be saved?

The choice is still yours,
