Morning Devotion: Read Jude

Jude 1:3

‭Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort ‭you‭ that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 6:Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.‭

‭Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.‭

‭For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high ‭places‭.‭

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:‭

‭(For the weapons of our warfare ‭are‭ not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)‭

‭Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;‭

This is prevelant today as we see these influences all about us.

Jude For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul warned a out it as well.

Acts 20:29

‭For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

We see grievous wolves in false translations, false doctrine, false traditions and many such like. We could preach for hours on just these three things that whittle away at the truth and the faith once delivered to the saints.

Jude says they are ungodly men turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Do you realize there are thousands of verses changed in the modern versions of the bible that take away the deity of Christ, and salvation by grace through in Christ? These are subtle changes that most people cannot see but are greatly affected by them.

Let me give you one example.

Acts 8:35Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.‭

‭36 And as they went on ‭their‭ way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, ‭here is‭ water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?‭

‭37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.‭

‭38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.‭

In most newer versions berse 37 is left out or a footnote is given saying the verse is not valid. If you read it without verse 37 you may think that salvation is via baptism. You see how the deity of Christ is removed?

These men crept in and changed things without your knowledge. Just like politicians today.

We are warned to stay safe and stay away from the wicked doctrine.

Ephesians 4:14

 ‭That we ‭henceforth‭ be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, ‭and‭ cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

We come full circle to the issue that turns men from God, antichrist.

We must contend for the faith. Not by violence but by the truth.

John 8:32

‭And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Not “set” you free, rather “make”  you free. (Another subtle change.)

1Timothy 6:12

‭Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

The choice is still yours,
