Morning Devotion: Read Jude.

Jude 1:8  ¶Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. 9  Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. 10  But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. 11  Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

Again, we must remember the main focus of this letter that Jude writes. It is all about the faith once delivered to the saints. The struggle will always be about the faith and the truth in Christ Jesus. There will always be a struggle with the antichrists od the world.

Jude 1:3  Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. 4  For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 John 1:7  For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

In our text today we find those who are against Christ speak not only evil of dignities but of the things they know nothing about.

Jude 1:10  But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

The bible believing Christian has a different language; they speak of those things which they know and that is Christ Jesus.

Peter said in Acts 4:20  “For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.”

1 Thessalonians 2:4  But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.

While the bible believing Christian speaks of Christ and Him crucified, the unsaved, reveal their corruption by the words they choose.

Remember, each person will speak of that which they know. If they are genuinely saved, they will speak of Christ. If they are unsaved, they will speak of the natural things, the worldly things.

Jude 1:10  But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

It really comes down to the heart. What is in your heart?

Luke 6:45  A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

When the heart is changed from the natural brute beast to the saving grace of God the speech changes, everything changes. The new creature in Christ Jesus manifests itself. It is seen first in the speech then in the action.

1 Corinthians 2:11  For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

There is a great difference between the natural man and the saved man. Their words will reveal the truth of their heart.

The choice is still yours,
