Morning Devotion: Read John 10

John 10:26  But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

27  My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

28  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

29  My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.

30  I and my Father are one.

Does the Lord know you?

There are many folks who claim to know the Lord; the question is this, does the Lord know you?

Jesus was speaking with a religious crowd who thought they knew God. They were very religious. Are you a religious person? Do you believe in God? Many believe in God and are not born-again.

James 2:19  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Many are religious people who are not born-again.

Matthew 7:21  ¶Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23  And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Jesus said to these religious people; “But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. 27  My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” John 10:26

Does Jesus know you?

When you stand before the Lord in judgement, will he know you?

It will be Jesus who judges at the great white throne of God.

John 5:22  For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

John 5:27  And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

Did you see that, God the father will not judge you; Jesus will be the judge of you. Those who have never trusted in Jesus will look directly at the face of Jesus in judgment. He will judge you.

Philippians 2:9  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11  And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Deuteronomy 7:9  Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; 10  And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.

Those whom Jesus knows, those who are born-again, those who do not just believe in God but Jesus, will have eternal salvation and eternal life.

Romans 6:23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Can you hear the Lord Jesus calling you? If Jesus knows you, then God will know you. He said, “my sheep hear my voice.”

Can you hear Jesus, He is calling you?

If Jesus knows you and you hear Him, are you following Him?

John 10: 27  My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

You see, the following comes after Jesus knowing you. Christian friend, are you following Jesus?

Does Jesus know you?

The choice is still yours,
