Morning Devotion: Questions and Answers

Question: Does Satan exist? Answer: Yes

Not only does he exist, he is alive and well on planet earth. Ezekiel 28:13-17 tells us he was created by God. He was covered with precious stones and filled with musical attributes. He was to glorify God.

His iniquity drove him to pride and ultimately to want God’s place, Isaiah 14: 12-15.

God expelled him from his place in heaven. In that exodus, he took a third of the angels with him.

Revelation 12:3  And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. 4  And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth:…

Luke 10:18  And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

He was the one who approached Eve in the garden in an attempt to turn them from God.

Genesis 3:1  ¶Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2  And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3  But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

4  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

5  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

6  ¶And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

7  And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

As a result of sin, Adam, because he was the first man on earth, cause all men to inherit the sin nature.

Romans 5:12  Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

You must remember, he is against God and will do whatever he can to thwart and destroy anything that God created. That my friend, includes you.

He imitates God so you will not know the truth. Just as God has an armada of angels, so, Satan has his.

Ephesians 6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

God is a triune being, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; Satan has his trinity as well. Satan, the antichrist and the false prophet is Satan’s imitation of God’s trinity. Read Revelation 12 and 13. Eventually the world will worship Satan, antichrist and the false prophet.

We see that worship taking place even now as the world is moving toward a one world government and a one world economic system. We see that man is eating this up as if it were normal, when in reality it is Satan’s planned rebellion against God. Your soul is the prize in this struggle.

We can thank God that he has His glorious answer to the devil’s plan. Jesus is the answer.

Ephesians 2:1  And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

2  Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

3  Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

4  ¶But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

5  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Colossians 2:8  Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

The choice is still yours,
