Morning Devotion: Questions and Answers

Question: Can I be assured of my personal salvation? Answer: Yes

When Jesus becomes your Lord and Saviour, you can have complete assurance that you are saved both now and forever.

We must first understand that salvation is of the Lord Jesus Christ. Acts 16:31  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Acts 4:12  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

1 Timothy 1:15  This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Secondly, we must believe, trust and have faith that Jesus will save us. In other words, one must turn from sin and self and believe in Jesus Christ.

Jesus said in Mark 1:15  “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

Romans 10:9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

When one believes on the Lord Jesus Christ, according to the word of God, Jesus will save you.

Romans 10:10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

For with your heart, you believe unto righteousness and with your mouth you confess or tell what Jesus did.

When you believe unto righteousness, there is a great change that takes place. You become new creature in Christ.

Jesus said in John 7:38  “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”

2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

The old things are passed away and the new Christlike you emerges. You have the gift of eternal life, forgiveness of sins and indwelling of the Holy Spirit of God and a new nature. That, my friend is wonderful; it is in Christ.

2 Peter 1:2  Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

With all that being said; we must realize that salvation and the new nature only comes from God through Jesus Christ. You must have Christ Jesus.

1 John 5:1  ¶Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God:..

1 John 5:9  If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

10  He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

11  And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

12  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

1 John 5:13  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Do you know, that if your died right now, you would go to heaven? You can.
