Morning Devotion: Questions and Answers

Question: Can I lose my salvation? Answer: No

Many religions and denominations teach that you can lose your salvation. These types of organizations prey on you to retain you in their works type salvation. I know of a church that has multiple salvations every week, they boast of lots of people always getting saved. When in reality it is the same people coming back every week to get saved thinking they lost it during the week.

That is why some religions have confessional every week. People believe if they have some person in some booth give them so many hail Mary’s and our father’s to pray they can dismiss their sin debt.

If you could lose your salvation, at what point do you lose it? What sin is the breaking point? Is there a category of sins or will any sin remove your salvation?

If sin is sin, will even a bad thought or a simple disobedient heart be the fulcrum to take away salvation? Often times people categorize sin believing only the big ones will cause the loss of salvation. All sin is sin

Bear in mind, Adam only ate a piece of fruit which was against God’s command. So, what sin will take away your salvation?

My friend, when Jesus saves you, your sins are paid for forever. You can never lose your salvation.

John 10:27  My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29  My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.

No man can pluck you from the hand of Jesus or God. You are a man; you cannot even pluck yourself out of His saving grace.

John 6:37  All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

It is God’s responsibility to keep you saved, not yours.

John 6:39  And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

Jude 1:24  Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

25  To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

You cannot lose what God gave.

John 5:24  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Nothing can separate you from the love of Christ.

Romans 8:38  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We are kept by the power of God. 1 Peter 1:5  Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

We are all familiar with John 3:16

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

It is not everlasting if you could lose it. If you could lose it, then this verse would not, could not, be in the bible.

I will caution you, as a believer, you cannot live a life of sin and expect God to let it go. As a believer, you cannot be punished in hell for your sin, but God can sure make your life miserable here on earth and may even take you home early.

James 1:15  Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 16  Do not err, my beloved brethren.

1 John 5:16  If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. 17  All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

The choice is still yours,
