Morning Devotion: Questions and Answers

Question: I Heaven real? Answer: Yes

Heaven, the thought of being there and being with those who have embraced the love of the truth, is wonderful.

We have discussed heaven, and new Jerusalem or Zion as it is called. We saw angels and those who are born-again from all ages and nations will be in heaven. I hope you will be there.

What will heaven be like?

The measurements of heaven will be twelve thousand furlongs cubed.

Revelation 21:16  And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. 17  And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.

A furlong is a little over one eight of a mile. That would make the heavenly city about fifteen hundred miles square. There would be plenty of room for all peoples form every generation. Fifteen hundred miles square is three million three hundred seventy-five thousand miles. To put it in perspective, the current population of the earth can be placed, side by side, in the state of Texas. (Over population of this world in not a problem when you think of it in that way.)

You must remember, that only those who are saved, born-again will be in heaven. That reduces the number of inhabitants by a great margin.

Matthew 7:13  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Matthew 7:21  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

We know that God’s will is that everyone believes on the Lord Jesus Christ and His efficacious death, burial and resurrection.

Jesus said in John 6:40  “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

No Jesus, no heaven; know Jesus, know heaven.

The choice is still yours,
