Morning Devotion: Questions and Answers

Question: Is Heaven real? Answer: Yes

As we close this portion of questions and answers concerning heaven and hell, we must be reminded that both are real and both are inhabited for eternity. Those who inhabit hell choose so and those who inhabit heaven choose so. Choose Christ and live. To not choose Christ is to remain in sin and condemnation.

John 3:18  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Those who have turned from sin and self and trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ to save their soul have heaven awaiting them. Praise the Lord!

For those who trust the Lord, there is a time line of which we can take hope. First, we will be raptured.

1 Thessalonians 4:16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Second, we will go to the judgment seat of Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:9  Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Also read I Corinthians 3:12-15

1 Corinthians 3:15  If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Don’t be confused, the judgment seat of Christ is only for the saved, born-again believer. The lost will be judged at the great white throne judgement as described in Revelation 20:11-15.

After the judgment seat of Christ, we will enjoy the marriage supper of the lamb.

Revelation 19:7  Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9  And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Then we will return with the Lord when He judges this old world after the great tribulation and sets up rule for one thousand years.

Revelation 19:11  ¶And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12  His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14  And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15  And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16  And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Jude 1:14  And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

After the rule of a thousand years, the Lord will judge again and eternity will be established.

Revelation 20:4  And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

5  But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

At the end of the thousand years, the great white throne judgment will take place. That is where the dead will be judged.

Finally, eternity will be established and God will be all in all.

1 Corinthians 15:28  And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

Your eternal destination is your choice. Choose to believe.

The choice is still yours,
