ETERNAL LIFE
To whom are you trusting to save your soul, a dead man or a living God?
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Yesterday, Sunday, April 20, 2025, we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The only one liveth and abideth forever. He is the only one who can forgive sin and is alive by many infallible proofs.
On the same day, it was announced that Pope Francis died. In fact 166 popes have died leaving no assurance of eternal life.
Jesus is the only one who can provide eternal life and forgiveness of sin because He liveth and abideth forever. No one else lives and abides forever apart from the Lord Jesus Christ.
1Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
Jesus is the living word of God.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
Jesus, the living Word of God, offers eternal life of which no man can do.
He rose from the dead and is alive forevermore which no man could do.
One day our living Lord will return. No man can do such a thing, no man.
Jesus said in Revelation 22:12 “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.”
Revelation 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
To whom are you placing your salvation, in dead men or a living God?
Soon there will be a vote by men who will die (Cardinals) to promote a man who will die (Pope) to offer you eternal life.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
You must decide what is the final authority in your life, the living word of God or the church. If the authority in your life is the Word of God you will be in the right church.
Jesus said in Revelation 1:18 “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”
