Morning Devotion: Read Philippians
Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
The Lord Jesus Christ who is equal with God “made himself of no reputation and took upon him the form a a servant and was made in the likeness of men.”
Do you see that? He took upon himself the form of man. God Himself made Himself in the form of man.
That has great implications when it comes to the birth of Jesus Christ. We now know that God made Himself in the form of man and called Himself Jesus.
He came in the form of man to become obedient unto death. The only begotten of the Father through the power of the Holy Ghost, through the womb of Mary became man.
Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
He, being born in the form of man came to die for your sins and mine. He came to to die on the cross.
As you decorate and place glint and glisten in your homes, remember, the only reason God came is to die for the sins of mankind.
1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
Be grateful for the love and grace of God which was manifest in these last days for you.
Would you celebrate Christmas the right way knowing the truth?
There choice is still yours,
