Morning Devotion: Read Proverbs
Proverbs 24:21 My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change: 22 For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?
When one is yielded to God and His established governments that one is less inclined to meddle with those given to change. It would prevent him from a entering to a rebellious relationship that would disrupt the peace that comes from a godly entity bringing revolutions and plots to change God’s plan.
We see much meddling in our world today. With that in mind we must know that if there is change it must come from God.
Isaiah 40:15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.
Daniel 2:20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: 21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
Countries and nations have come and gone over the years: The Ottoman Empire, Austro-Hungarian Empire, British Raj, Prussia and a host of others have either ceased to exist or changed via oppression and or being conquered.
I am reminded of the nations is the bible who have ceased to exist as well.
Exodus 23:23 For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.
Proverbs 24:21 My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change: 22 For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?
There is great change going on in this world today, all of which will ultimately lead to God’s perfect plan of redemption when Jesus returns. Then will the Lord judge those nations and people given to change. Read Revelation 19:11-21
Until then, our focus, our eyes must be set on the only thing that is not given to change, that is the Lord Jesus Christ.
Malachi 3:6a For I am the LORD, I change not;
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Along with our Lord abiding forever and not given to change, so the true believer who cannot lose their salvation in Christ Jesus, abides forever as well.
Psalm 125:1 A Song of degrees. They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
1Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
1John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Proverbs 24:21 My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change: 22 For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
The choice is still yours,
