Morning Devotion: Read Proverbs
Proverbs 17:27 He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. 28 Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
There is nothing wrong with quiet. In fact, quiet is esteemed a valuable thing.
Our world is filled with noise and distractions and entertainment from all sorts of directions. It is the quiet that removes people from distractions and give them time to muse, contemplate and evaluate themselves.
The one who spares their words are of those who think before they speak, they exercise wisdom and understanding evaluating things before they let there words loose form their lips.
That type of knowledge causes one use words sparingly.
Even a fool, a person who knows not God is counted wise. He may not be wise, but he is counted as wise.
Be wise in the words you use. They reveal who you are.
Proverbs 15:2 The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
Proverbs 15:28 The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
Ecclesiastes 9:17 The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.
Would we all be like Samuel Old Testament prophet.
1Samuel 3:19 And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.
Jesus never spoke out of line nor did He ever speak of that which God did not give Him.
Jesus said in John 6:63 βIt is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.β
John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
The choice is still yours,
