Morning Devotion: Read Proverbs

Proverb 28:28  When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.

When the evil, the lawless are in position of power, life, property and freedom become insecure. The peace once enjoyed and the quietness that followed hide themselves from wickedness.

Proverbs 28:12 When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.

As one reads the book of judges the truth of Proverbs 28:28 becomes apparent.

Judges 6:1  And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years. 2  And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds.

1Samuel 13:6  When the men of Israel saw that they were in a strait, (for the people were distressed,) then the people did hide themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in high places, and in pits. 7  And some of the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As for Saul, he was yet in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling.

Today, in 2026, there is a sense of wickedness in the world, all leading to the what the Lord calls the end times. World leaders are following exactly what God has prophesied.

However, when the final analysis is revealed we find that the Lord will prevail and the tables will be turned around.

Isaiah 2:19  And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. 20  In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats; 21  To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. 22  Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?

We also find that true believer will be free to walk in freedom and righteousness for the Lord will have prevailed.

Isaiah 11:6  The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. 7  And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8  And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den. 9  They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. 10  And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

And there will be a new heaven and a new earth and God will be with us; truth and righteousness will prevail and wickedness will be gone.

Revelation 21:3  And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5  And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

1Thessalonians 4:18  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

In Christ Jesus, we Win.

What side of this equation are you on?

The choice is still yours,
