Morning Devotion: Read. Luke - Jesus Rejoices in the Father's Revelation
Luke 10:21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. 22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him. 23 And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see: 24 For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
The more I know the more I realize how little I know.
The Lord Jesus rejoices in the fact that God the Father reveals to those who are ready to receive. Some things are not revealed because the receiver is not willing to receive, they pick and chose what they want to receive. A child is ready and willing to receive for they have not reached the age of corruption.
When we say corruption we mean the child has not reached the age where they think they know nor do they think they are wise and prudent in the things of the world.
There is a difference of worldly wisdom and godly wisdom; there is a difference between the world view and the Christian world view.
1Corinthians 1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
1Corinthians 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
The true wisdom comes from a relationship with God the Father and that through Jesus Christ His Son, which is God manifest in the flesh.
Luke 10:22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
There you have it in a nutshell, to know Jesus is to know the Father. He is not talking about religion or the Pope or some person like Joseph Smith or Ezra Taz Russell or Muhammad, or Buddha, or Lafayette Ronald Hubbard or any other such person who thinks they know. It is and always has been about the Lord Jesus Christ.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
The Lord then calls those, His disciples, who see, blessed.
Luke 10:23 And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see: 24 For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
Is the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ hid from your eyes?
2Corinthians 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Seek the Lord while He may be found.
The choice is still yours,
