Morning Devotion: Read

Colossians 4:12  Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

Epaphras was a strong man in life because he was a strong man in prayer. His prayers were consistent and directed toward God for those of the church church.

Epaphras was a minister to those of the church of which he started.

Colossians 1:7  As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;

He life and walk with God was so dear that he hazard it to the point of being in prison with Paul. Even then He ministered for the Lord.

Philemon 1:23  There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;

Epaphras was that guy that loved the Lord worked fervently for the Lord and was a minister to those around him. He brought to Paul the good news of how the church was growing and alive doing well for God. Upon hearing the good news Paul was prompted to write to the church the letter of Colossians.

Colossains 1:8  Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit. 9  For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10  That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

If someone were to give a testimony about you, what would it say? Would it be an encouragement and a help to others? Would your testimony be such that the world would know you are a true Christian strong in payer and strong in the Lord?

Christian, live for the Lord; be faithful in prayer and strong in faith, praying for others that they would be strong in their faith as well.

Colossians 4:12  Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

God will bless that kind of a relationship.

The choice is still yours,

Pastor Cook
