Morning Devotion: Read Ephesians
Ephesians 6:21 But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:
Here we have another dear saint who was addicted to the ministry of the Lord. While most of the world is addicted to sports, drugs, sex, work, alcohol, and a host of other venues and things, this man was given over to the ministry, to the Lord Jesus Christ.
He was one of those guys who was by the side of Paul throughout Paul’s ministry. He was one who worked behind the scenes being faithful. He was one of those guys that could be counted upon to do the work.
We find Tychicus was there helping Paul as a scribe.
Ephesians 6:24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. To the Ephesians written from Rome, by Tychicus.
Colossians 4:18 The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen. Written from Rome to Colossians by Tychicus and Onesimus.
He was the confidant of Paul and could take the word of God to the churches of Asia.
2Timothy 4:12 And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus.
Titus 3:12 When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.
He was a faith minister and fellowservant in the Lord.
Colossians 4:7 All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord:
That phrase,”faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord” is a phrase that every pastor desires of every member of the congregation. Faithful is such a sweet word when wrapped in fellowship in the Lord.
Are you in the Lord and is the Lord in you?
My friend, that is the essence of Christianity.
Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
1Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
2Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
The choice is still yours,
Pastor Cook
