Morning Devotion: Read Genesis

Genesis 9:1  And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. 2  And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.

Genesis 1:27  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28  And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

There is a wonderful principle found here in these verses, it is the principle of dominionism. God told Noah that the earth was there for him to dwell in and replenish. God said the fear of man would be upon the beast of the earth and the fouls of the air. Everything was delivered into the hand of Noah and his family.

Genesis 9:3  Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

God gave the herbs of the field, and the animals of the earth for our food. He gave it all to us through Noah.

As you look at society today, you will find the opposite of what God desired for mankind. Today society would have you to think the animals have dominion over us. And that meat of should not be eaten. “Don’t hurt the animals and don’t eat meat” is the slogan today. Red meat is bad for you eat bugs instead.

My friend, be careful of what the world portrays as good. Always compare what is said with the Word of God.

Let’s look at another principle given by God and negated by the world.

Adam became the husband of Eve. They were one flesh. The principle of marriage of one man to one wife was established from the beginning. That has been negated in our society as well.

These changes to dominionism and eating meat and marriage have been changed. These things are signs that man is nearing the end when Jesus will return.

1Timothy 4:1  Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2  Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3  Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4  For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5  For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

These changes go back to one dialogue between Satan and Eve when the Devil said, “Yea hath God said” causing doubt in God’s word.

My friend, there are so many truths in God’s word that have been diluted and negated and done away with that todays Christian has little understanding of what God’s will is. How will you know the truth? Read your bible.

Today, go out and have a nice burger; make sure you thank God for it.
