Morning Devotion: Read Genesis

Genesis 26:4  And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth BE BLESSED (emphasis mine); 5  Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

Genesis 28:14  And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth BE BLESSED (emphasis mine).

Genesis 12:1  Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2  And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3  And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth BE BLESSED (emphasis mine).

In theses passages of scripture we find a wonderful blessing from God. That blessing is in and through Abraham, then Isaac and Jacob.

The blessing is this: All the families of the earth and the nations of the earth shall be blessed in Abraham’ seed, that seed is Jesus.

We also find in Matthew chapter one the genealogy of the line of Christ through Abraham.

Matthew 1:1  The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. 2  Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;

Matthew 1:16  And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. 17  So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

The blessing of all the nations and families of the earth are in the Lord Jesus Christ.

In John chapter four we also find a very powerful statement. “Salvation is of the Jews.”

John 4:22  Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

Whether people want to admit it or not, salvation is of the Jews, Jesus was born a Jew.

Every person, family and nation that accepts that fact will be blessed.

While the world is against the Jewish people today and many hate the Jews, the fact still remains, Salvation is of the Jews, the blessing of Abraham is Jesus.

Would you believe, would you be blessed, would you trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as your person saviour?

Romans 4:16  Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

My friend, would you pray for Israel God’s chosen people.

Much of the world is against God, Israel and Jesus; one day all will be either be blessed or cursed because of their relationship with Him.

The choice is still yours,

Pastor Cook
