Morning Devotion: Read Revelation
Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Revelation 5:8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. 9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
Everything, everything is for the glory of God. Everything, everything was created for the glory and honour of God. Everything, everything was created for His pleasure.
At the beginning of the tribulation period there will be a book given to Him that created all things for His glory and honour and His pleasure. He will open that book and the seven seals of the book will be opened.
The seven seals, once opened will being great tribulation upon the earth such as was never seen before.
Jesus, the lamb of God is the only one worthy to open the book and the seven seals therein.
Notice, the lamb of God has the prayers of the saints stored up in heaven. The prayers are stored up in such a way that they are odours, sweet smelling odours to God.
Notice what God does with those prayers.
Revelation 8:3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. 5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
God is the avenger of those who suffered and offered their prayers to Him.
Hang on brothers and sisters, God is working and will work in a mighty way. He does not forget your prayers.
Revelation 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
Remember, all these things that are happening and will happen are for the glory of God. It will all work out and God will be glorified and the believer in Christ Jesus will have rest and God will be our God forever.
Are you born again? Are you a part of the body of believers the saints mentioned in these verses?
The choice is still yours,
