Morning Devotion: Read Proverbs
Proverbs 28:12 When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.
The tale is the same throughout history; when the wicked rule the righteous have groaned in travail struggling with anxiety with their unjust and ungodly activities.
Proverbs 28:28 When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.
The triumph or rule of the righteous will inspire the great joy and confidence in the hearts of those who follow. There will be an openness of joy and kindness and people will have the peace of mind knowing this are well.
Only when wickedness is removed will there be shouting and praise.
Proverbs 11:10 When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.
One day there will be great peace on this earth, the wickedness of this world will be gone and Jesus will rule with a rod of iron. Those who belong to Jesus will rejoice giving praise to Him who reigns.
Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
And, with His return, the scriptures will be fulfilled with peace on earth good will toward men.
Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Revelation 5:13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
To be a part of God’s peace on earth one has to be a part of God. You must be saved, born-again in Christ Jesus for only those are will remain when wickedness is gone.
Wherefore, comfort one another with these words.
