Morning Devotion: Read Proverbs
Proverbs 21:30 There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.
2Corinthians 13:8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
Mankind may haver counsel and speech and talk against the Lord believing he is something when he is nothing. All that talk will come to nothing because the LORD is over all. In the end the LORD has His way.
Man proposes, God disposes.
Proverbs 19:21 There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.
Isaiah 14:27 For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
Throughout the scriptures man has rebelled against God and His word. Throughout the scriptures man has suffered in his rebellion. God has always come out on top.
Even in these end times man thinks he can outwit, outsmart and outmaneuver God. He cannot. While God waits, man is unwittingly doing God’s will. Even though they band together and make laws and rules and mandates and bring about harshness; they do not know they are fulfilling God’s plan.
Psalm two is a great verse providing insight to this truth.
Psalm 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, 3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. 4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. 5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. 6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. 7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. 8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. 9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. 10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. 11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. 12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Philippians 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
My friend, remember, no counsel will stand against the Lord. Keep your eyes and heart looking upward trusting in the Lord.
The choice is still yours,
