Morning Devotion: Read Exodus - Bezaleel and Aholiab
Exodus 31:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: 3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, 4 To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, 5 And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship. 6 And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee; 7 The tabernacle of the congregation, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is thereupon, and all the furniture of the tabernacle, 8 And the table and his furniture, and the pure candlestick with all his furniture, and the altar of incense, 9 And the altar of burnt offering with all his furniture, and the laver and his foot, 10 And the cloths of service, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office, 11 And the anointing oil, and sweet incense for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded thee shall they do.
God makes all men differently. Some have gifts and talents that others do not have. God prepared Bezaleel and Aholiab for the purpose of serving in the work and building of the tabernacle.
Every person made differently and with God’s perfect design. You were fearfully and wonderfully made.
Psalm 139:13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. 14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
Yes, while you were in your mothers womb, God was forming you just the way He planned. You are unique, special and wonderfully made. Praise God for you.
God made each of you with a special talents and gifts.
1 Corinthians 12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
Romans 12:6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; 8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
God in His infinite wisdom prepared Bezaleel and Aholiab for the purpose of building the things of the tabernacle.
With that in mind, what are your gifts and talents? What can you do for your church? It is not what the church and do for you but what you can do for your church. What can you do to please the Lord who made you.
I am always thrilled for piano players for I cannot play and single hymn. I am always excited for those who can use their artistic talents for crafts and bill boards and activities in our church. I praise God for those who can work with wood and electricity and plumbing and all such things as need to be done in the church. I am grateful for administrators and those can handle finances and those who take initiative in helping in the church. There is great blessing in those who are soul winners for Jesus. The church needs you and your talents. That is what God made you for.
1Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
Colossians 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
It is not just about coming to church and sitting in the pew and giving tithes and singing. It is about loving, serving and being a part of the family of God. It is about using what God has given you.
Don’t waste good God given talent; while you live and breathe use what you have for God.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
It is the reasonable thing to do.
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
The choice is still yours,
