Morning Devotion: Read Proverbs
Proverbs 30:15 The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough: 16 The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough.
The things never satisfied, the grave (of which we spoke yesterday) the barren womb, the earth that is not filled with water and the fire that says it is not enough.
My friend, the barren womb is often looked upon as a curse for every woman (at least every woman uninfluenced by sin) has the desire to bare children. It is the natural part of life.
Sarah, Abram’s wife desired a child and God gave her one who was called Isaac. Hannah desired a child and God gave her a child of whom is was called Samuel. Elisabeth desired a child and God gave her one who was called John the Baptist.
However, because of our changing times the love for child baring has become cold. Jesus said this would happen as we enter into the last days before He returns.
Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
The coldness of man’s heart does not negate the truth of these scriptures for there are still pure young women who desire the bare children.
Titus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
Even after some children are born the mother’s love waxes cold and the care of the child of neglected.
Isaiah 49:15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
Titus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
In this throwaway world we can be sure God will never cast out those who come to Him by faith trusting in Jesus to save them.
John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
We can rest assured the God will never forget His children nor forsake them.
Hebrews 13:5b …”for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
My friend, do you desire to be pure? Jesus can make you pure by washing away your sin and saving your soul.
If you desire to have that kind of salvation and love from God through His Son Jesus Christ you may. Simply pray this prayer believing with all your heart.
“God I know I am a sinner in need of salvation. I now repent of my sin asking you to save me. Please come into my heart and save my soul for I cannot save myself. I now place my faith and trust in Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour whom you have sent.”
The choice is still yours,
