Morning Devotion: Read Proverbs
Proverbs 30:29 There be three things which go well, yea, four are comely in going: 30 A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any; 31 A greyhound; an he goat also; and a king, against whom there is no rising up.
The lion, the greyhound and the he goat are three beasts listed as going well and comely in going. These three are attributes of the king against whom there is no rising up.
The lion is bold and unflinching is his deportment. It reminds us of the courage we should all have in regard to our walk with and in the Lord Jesus Christ. Our Lord, being the Lion of the tribe of Judah, never flinched as He served the Lord God as He went to the cross on our behalf.
Isaiah 50:7 For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.
As we read the book of Acts we find the church was emboldened to speak the word of God.
Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
Acts 14:3 Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
My dear Christian friend, are you bold in speaking for the Lord Jesus Christ, or are you timid and afraid?
2Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Today, if you will, challenge yourself to tell someone about the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Tell them how Jesus was a sinless sacrifice for their sins. Tell Jesus paid for their sins on the cross. Tell them He Loves them offer them the free gift of salvation. Tell them how Jesus shed His precious blood on the cross to pay for their sins. Tell them that by turning from self and sin they too can be saved.
Be bold.

The choice is still yours,
