Morning Devotion: Read Proverbs

Proverb 28:18  Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.

This verse is not speaking about the salvation of the soul for no one can, by any means, save himself by walking uprightly.

This verse is speaking about the manner of living and the results of ones decision making process. Choose right and get right results, choose wrong and get wrong results.

Sometimes wrong decisions result in being cut off or taken from this world.

Numbers 15:31  Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.

Proverbs 2:22  But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.

How you walk or conduct yourself reveals the true nature of who you are.

Psalm 1:1  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4  The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5  Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6  For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Proverbs 10:9  He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.

The best walk you can have is to walk with Jesus being guided by His wonderful word.

John 12:35  Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

Romans 8:1  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Proverb 28:18  Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.

Only you can choose how you walk in this world.

The choice is still yours,

Pastor Cook
