Morning Devotion: Read - Born Again to a Living Hope
1Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
God gave us Jesus who is God manifest in the flesh. Jesus is the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Jesus died on the cross and shed His precious blood that our sin debt may be paid for.
Sa you read the I Peter closely you will find that God is the one who gives salvation by Jesus Christ.
We, the born again believer, have a new and everlasting life from God by Jesus Christ. We are alive; we have a lively hope and an inheritance which is incorruptible and undefiled and will never fade away and, it comes with a reservation in heaven.
Yes, our salvation is an incorruptible salvation, an undefiled salvation. Do you realize, your salvation can never be defiled? The only thing that can be defiled is you and your testimony.
When God saves you, the gift of salvation which is incorruptible and undefiled is given you. How you live with that wonderful gift is up to you.
1Thessalonians 4:1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
Colossians 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
2Corinthians 5:9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
As a Christian, live your life to please God who gave His precious gift of eternal life. Live a life that reflects the perfect undefiled, incorruptible and eternal life you have within.
The choice is still yours,
Pastor Cook
