Morning Devotion: Read
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
There is a war going on; the war is a spiritual war not physical wars as we see all over the world, in places like the Ukraine, and in places in Africa and possibly Taiwan and others. There are political wars and wars of smaller natures in our countries such as philosophical and societal wars bringing in unwanted change. There is a battle for the heart and mind as well.
Let me be very clear; these wars, and all wars are spiritual in nature for they are led by men who are led by fallen natures (meaning they are led as unsaved men following the desires of the heart which motive is always to please self) and spiritual entities.
Ephesians 2:3… fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
What is the Christian to do? The Christian is encouraged to stand in the power of God and not in their own strength.
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
The Christian is to walk in the Lord, trust in His word; the believer is to walk in the Spirit and casting all your care upon Him for he careth for you. Be strong in the Lord in prayer and thanksgiving. In other words, trust in the Lord, completely.
Psalm 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. 9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Psalm 125:1 They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
The choice is still yours,
